Frequently Asked Questions

Your products seem to cost more than other covers on the market. How come?

First, we use only the highest quality imported Rayon and PVA yarns for our products. Candidly, we have been unable to find the quality that we demand domestically. Imported goods carry with them the added expenses of duty, higher shipping costs, and other associated fees.

As already mentioned above, New Mol features high-density construction which results in the consumption of more yarn during knitting. Similarly, Duroweave utilizes more base yarn (PVA) than New Mol, in order to achieve its extensive shrinkage capability. This too adds to the cost of the product.

Yarn quality is especially critical because all our products are all sheared. Anything less than the strongest and most durable yarns will not hold up to this punishing treatment.

The very process of shearing is an added cost as well. Other manufacturers simple box their product as it comes out of the knitting machine. Shearing, however, requires several post-production steps. First, we have to “reverse” the material, turning it inside out. This is because the pile, or loop surface of the material, is actually inside the center of the cover. Then the material is passed through the shearing machine 4 times, once for the front and back and again for the two edges. In the case of New Mol, the material must once again be reversed to return the pile surface to the inside of the cover.

These are laborious, time consuming processes which add to the cost of the product. We feel that these extra steps, however, are well worth it and so will you if you try our covers
